Balanced Meals

One of the best health tips I can give you is to focus on consuming balanced meals and maintaining balanced blood sugar levels.

A balanced meal is one with protein, carbohydrate, fat and fibre. To me, it’s also ensuring that there is a fruit or vegetable in the meal for added antioxidants, vitamins and minerals.

Our blood sugar is dictates our hunger, our cravings, and our energy. We feel our best when our blood sugar is balanced - not too high or not too low.

By simply adding healthy fats, protein and fibre to this meal, not only am I slowing gastric emptying time (keeping me satiated and fuller for longer), but I am slowing the rate of glucose absorption (essentially lowering the rise in blood sugar) and helping to sustain energy levels (which can prevent you from feeling that crash). Ensuring your meals are balanced can also aid in weight management.

TRUST ME, this simple tip can change your life.
